Classes and Descriptions
Nia – Is a fun, non-impact, high-energy movement form that conditions the body, mind, emotions and spirit. Done barefoot to soul-stirring music and moves to inspire joy, the choreography draws from a unique blend of dance arts, martial arts, and healing arts. Every class offers a unique combination of Nia’s 52 Moves that correspond with the main areas of the body: the base, the core and the upper extremities. Stiff beginners and highly fit athletes alike can adapt Nia to meet their needs by choosing from 3 Intensity Levels (Level 1 = movement and intensity is close to the body’s core. Level 2 = more expansive movement and intensity increases. Level 3 = greatest intensity of movement), receiving the cardio-aerobic workout that you need for your body.

Gentle Nia – Is a fun-filled, non-impact movement class with smooth movements that feel good in the joints, increasing flexibility, mobility, agility, strength and balance. Condition the body, mind, emotions and spirit, while dancing barefoot with moves and music to inspire joy. The choreography draws from a blend of dance arts, martial arts, and healing arts. Moving and dancing more at Levels 1 & 2. (Level 1 = movement and intensity is close to the body’s core. Level 2 = more expansive movement and intensity increases). Your body will benefit from the restorative health of this gentle movement as it seeps deep into your nervous system on a cellular level. Increase your balance, awareness of mind and improve the function and comfort in your body, while toning your physique! This class is excellent for any fitness level.
