Black Belt Nia Teacher & Joy of Nia Movement Owner
I have been a dancer since the age of four. Dancing and moving is simply in my soul! Nia has brought such joy and pleasure into my life, and I love sharing this joy with others. I find special joy in introducing people to Nia and seeing with my own eyes, how they experience the magic of Nia for themselves. Teaching Nia at my dance studio, Joy of Nia Movement, has been a dream come true for me. I teach Nia to all age groups and all fitness levels. I teach people who are suffering from neuromuscular pain, fibromyalgia, arthritic joint pain, back injuries, emotional pain and cancer. Nia is so much more than a fitness class, it offers the opportunity to heal and become body aware on a whole new level. Students tell me daily that Nia has created so much joy and happiness in their lives. My hope is that Nia will help you discover your true self, heal your body and empower you to live your life with pleasure and meaning as it has for me.
I believe that every person can discover, explore, unleash and enhance their individual potential to live a fulfilling, healthy and meaningful life – by engaging their senses and listening to their bodies. With the right tools and education, we can increase our physical well-being, confidence and happiness and step into our own joyful life journey.
In essence, Nia is Dance Therapy, a fun and joyous way to heal our bodies and so much more!
